I just sometimes wish people would stop forcing their viewpoints on others. If going natural is a great spiritual journey about learning to embrace the real you and etc., that's GREAT! But for me, it's not that. I just wanted healthier and fuller hair. I've always wanted curly hair so I want to see what my natural curl pattern is. And if it doesn't make me happy, guess what? I might just train my hair to be straightened all the time. WHO CARES? To each his own in my opinion. I don't like when people transition/go natural and all of a sudden they're up on a high horse and SO much better than people who don't do it their way or women that still get relaxers. That was you just a few months/years ago... remember that. And at the end of the day, it's just hair.
ANYWAYS, totally went OFF TANGENT with that one for a minute. The joyous occasion (hence the title of this post) happened the other day. I had done my hair in a bun & slicked down the front with gel and was trying to accomplish this hairstyle again when LO & BEHOLD my darn hairband (or w/e it's called) wouldn't stay on my head as far back as I needed. So here I was having a "LORD what am I gonna do" moment with my hair... and I just started twisting and tucking. And what should come of it but my new favorite hairstyle!
I'm so excited I have a new go-to style for when I don't know what the hell else to do with my hair and I'm hoping I'm stumble upon more of these as I continue to transition!
