I've just been going through it lately with my hair. First of all, I've entered one of my periods where I don't feel like doing my hair. There's times when I'm excited about my hair & will bantu knot it every night with no problem. Then there's times like these, where I wish I could just walk around in a bonnet all day because I don't feel like dealing with it.
There are several problems I'm having with my hair and I really just need some advice on what to do.
[1] my hair is itching badly. I will wash my hair on Monday and by Tuesday it's driving me crazy with how bad it's itching. I don't know if it's my shampoo or what I'm putting on my hair ? I haven't changed anything in my routine so I don't know where this problem came from. But it's something that needs to be solved because I can't handle this. Any advice on this situation would be helpful and GREATLY appreciated!
[2] my hair looks dryyyy. lol I try doing the processes often described on youtube & various blogs to seal moisture into your hair but uhhh, I must not be doing it right or something because 99% of the time my hair looks thirsty! I do the water + conditioner + oil + shea butter/moisturizer ....am I doing something wrong? Once again, any advice on this situation would be appreciated!
ALSO, I'm headed to Vegas later this month and really wanted to get my hair straightened BUT I've read SO many horror stories about people who are transitioning or are newly natural that got their hair straightened and... well... "bye bye curls" is basically how it ended for all of them. So I'm feeling very wary about doing that to my hair. I'd rather not ruin all the progress I've made. But if I'm not straightening my hair then I need SOME type of curly style that can last me for 3 days because I'm not going to want to do my hair while I'm there. I gave the roller set another try with setting lotion and uhh, let's just say that wasn't the best idea I've ever had lol. So I'm still searching for a hairstyle to try.... once again... (you guessed it lol) ANY suggestions would be appreciated!
Ahh, does this hair journey ever come to an end? lol
What's the name of the hair serum you bought from Sally's? & I've been wanting to try out Carol's Daughters products! I did some research on the climate of Las Vegas & it said it's more a dry hot than a humid hot so I thought maybe it woudn't be too hard to keep it straight because I wouldn't have to be fighting humidity. Still not sure what I'm gonna do but I have some time to decide; thanks for all the suggestions!!
